Ryjland Tees started with a simple idea: make something colorful, creative, and completely original.
Every shirt is dyed by hand, one at a time. There are no patterns to reproduce, and no two shirts will ever be exactly alike. The colors move where they want to move, creating something that can’t really be duplicated.
That’s part of what we love about it.

We believe our world could use a little more color…
Ryjland Tees started simply because we love creating. There’s something satisfying about starting with a blank shirt, adding color and contrast, experimenting, and never knowing exactly what you’re going to get when you finally unwrap it.
We’re not trying to make thousands of identical shirts. In fact, we like just the opposite. Our shirts are very limited with only a few made at a time in our studio in Waconia, Minnesota. We strive to be different and are always trying new techniques, new dye mixes, and adjusting curing times (usually 5-10 days).
We like things that are a little imperfect. A little unexpected. Things that feel human.
For us, Ryjland Tees is about slowing down, using our hands, trying something new, and having fun with the process. If something we create brightens someone’s day, inspires you to be creative, makes people smile, helps them express a little bit of who they are, or simply adds some color to an ordinary day—that makes us happy.
